Founded in 1950, Beijing Chinese Language and Culture College (BLCC) is directly under the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council and the only college specialized in the education of Chinese language and culture in China. It encompasses two campuses: the Fuwai campus is situated in downtown Beijing and the Changping campus in Changping district of the city. With state-of-the-art facilities, complete functions, beautiful environment and convenient access to transport means, the school can accommodate about 2,000 students. In the past over 70 years, it has built up a worldwide reputation with excellent teaching and considerate services.

学院特色 FEATURES OF BLCC

1. 师资力量强大，教学经验丰富 FULLY EXPERIENCED TEACHING TEAM

我们拥有一支热爱华文事业、熟悉海外学生特点的专业化教师队伍。在近百位专职教师中，20%具有1年以上的海外教学经历，90%拥有硕士以上学历，其中博士和在读博士研究生41人，副教授以上高级职称的教师22人。

We are proud to have a faculty team who have passion for teaching Chinese language and culture and are experienced in teaching international students. Among nearly 100 full-time teachers, 20% have overseas teaching experience of over 1 year, 90% hold a master's degree or higher, including 41 PhD holders and candidates and 22 faculty members with associate professor or higher academic titles.

2. 丰富的选修课程 VARIOUS ELECTIVE COURSES

我们为学生提供丰富的选修课程，包括书法、国画、手工、中国舞、武术、古筝、笛子、陶艺、木艺、羽毛球、乒乓球等。

BLCC offers various optional courses including calligraphy, Chinese painting, handicrafts, Chinese dance, martial arts, guzheng, flute, pottery, woodworking, badminton, table tennis etc.

3. 特色游教课程 REGULAR STUDY TOURS

我们通常每月组织学生进行一次周末游教，参观故宫、长城、颐和园等名胜古迹。每学期组织一次期末游教，赴中原、华东、华中、东北等地进行语言实践。游教课程不仅使学生了解了中国的历史文化，也能够让学生身临其境地学习汉语。

Students will have a study tour in Beijing usually once a month to visit scenic spots and historical sites including the Imperial Palace, Great Wall and Summer Palace etc. And they will have a study tour in China each semester to visit famous scenic spots in Mid-China, Eastern China, Central China or Northeastern China etc.

4. 丰富的学生活动 COLORFUL STUDENT ACTIVITIES

我们每学期举办拼音比赛、词汇竞赛、演讲比赛、作文展览等学习活动，并举办中秋、圣诞晚会、摄影、中文卡拉OK及跳绳、拔河、乒乓球比赛等文体活动。

BLCC organizes colorful student activities each semester including academic activities like Pinyin contest, vocabulary competition, speech contest and composition show etc. and recreational and sports activities like mid-autumn party, Christmas party, photography competition, Chinese karaoke, rope skipping, tug of war and table tennis etc.
